Meet Barbados Cricket
(Or just Cricket for short)
Hailing from beautiful Barbados, this local DJ made it big with her unique form of EDM.
When EDM was starting to grow in popularity, the Cricket and her childhood friends would make fun of artists such as Marshmello and David Guetta, thinking they could make the same music with junk around the house.
The Cricket took that challenge and started her journey to make mock EDM. Unbeknown to her, she was discovering Foley, the old school was of creating sound effects for animation movies.
Her friends convinced her to make more and more music in the fascinating style she discovered.
Over the years she grew from local hero to climbing the charts, just behind the artists she used to mock and now see as heroes themselves.
